A segment of the Indian knowledge systems is its diverse storytelling traditions. From a land where oral traditions preserved epics that added multiple regional nuances with every telling the dynamic form of storytelling builds a creative imagination that enriches every discipline and domain. Each year Afsana: The Somaiya Storytelling Festival will bring together vibrant and unique traditions from one state of India and showcase it for students and people at large giving prominence to forgotten art forms and recreating a cultural extravaganza. Storytelling coupled with workshops, local cuisines, performances, installations and open mic will make this a space for uninhibited expression towards preserving our traditions and heritage.
